After a successful Christmas period Bedford remains a busy town with various new businesses opening up in the town centre, some of whom are adding to the already existing great selection of Bedford Independents.
Following the start of the refurbishment work and modernising in the Harpur Shopping Centre, those that have visited the town lately will have seen the spiral in the centre is no more and has been replaced with a fresher, lighter and modern look with stairs and a soon to be in use glass elevator. Beside this you cannot miss the brand new Starbucks. For many coffee shop lovers this is a very welcome addition and already proving to be very popular!
Brand new Independent business Monty the Cat is a beautifully quaint shop owned by Rosie Pollard, now open in The Arcade (off the High Street). Rosie designs and makes all the Monty the Cat branded jewellery herself using the finest components; freshwater pearls, precious metals and gemstones. Suitable for all occasions these are one of a kind and a limited edition jewellery range. Also available are hair bows, baby comforters, greetings cards and more. Should you require a bespoke item, book an appointment directly with Rosie on 01234 364273 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Also opened in The Arcade is another new independent business called Hattie & Co. This gorgeous baby boutique is owned and managed by Nicola Harris - a familiar face to some from her existing business, George James Bridal, and as one of the faces of the Love Bedford Now video campaigns.
From 5 fabulous designers; Kite, Emilie et Rose, Rachel Riley, Patachou and Mini-la-Mode, comfy daywear and occasion wear are both available with each piece being handpicked with a price range to suit all budgets.
