Bedford Womens Centre

Bedford Womens Centre is an organisation that supports women in the community to improve the quality of life for them and their families.

They offer one to one support and mentoring, weekly workshops, training courses and support groups for women to promote health and wellbeing, healthy relationships and  to eradicate Domestic Abuse. The centre is run by Family Groups Bedford, which is a registered charity who have provided services to the local community since 1982.
There is a range of cultural, educational and recreational activities on offer including the following 
 
Ladies Lunch Club Tuesdays 11.30am – 1pm
An opportunity to meet new friends and get information about your community, useful courses and health topics or just have a meal in the company of other women. Please contact them to book a place.

Freedom Programme and Freedom Forever
Bedford Women's Centre deliver the Freedom groups in a safe and confidential environment for women who may have experienced Domestic Abuse or want more information about healthy relationships. They also deliver a follow on programme called Freedom Forever which is designed to help women move on.

Training Courses
They hold a number of training courses throughout the year to support women in gaining valuable Skills for Life, to help support good mental health or to improve your employment prospects. Please contact them for more information.

Creche Provision
There is an on-site crèche at the centre and their qualified crèche team are dedicated to ensure that both parents/carers and the children have a positive experience and any additional support they may need.
