The Awards were founded by Tracy Butterfield, Wedding Professional and Director of Appleby Events. A champion of the hard working members of the industry, she reveals her motivation for the event; “After years of working in the industry alongside some amazing individuals, I decided it was time that people were recognised and rewarded where they matter most; in their own county.”

Tracy also states her pride in the people and organisations involved; “I am proud to say past winners have announced huge increases in their business, some moving to larger premises and one even retweeted by Hollywood actor, Robert Downey Junior!  The 4CWA has become a real community with new business collaborations and opportunities and in such a swamped yet important industry, who doesn’t want that?!”

The Four Counties Wedding Awards also raise awareness and funds for the charity The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation, who organise weddings for life-limiting or terminally ill couples. “I am delighted to have raised over £1400.00 at this event, and so many of the suppliers have now become supporters of the charity. Networking that makes a real difference.”
