The wedding awards for the 4 counties is now in its second year. Local wedding suppliers now have the chance to see their passion and excellence recognised and rewarded.
Boasting 26 categories, including Newcomer, all aspects of the wedding world are covered. With an impressive panel of Award winning judges, the Four Counties Wedding Awards offer a great opportunity of exposure for any new or established wedding supplier. Local judges include Charlotte White of Restoration Cake, Director of National Vintage Wedding Fair, Kate Beavis, Sarah Dunn of Sarah’s Doo Wop Dos Hair & Makeup and new to the awards are Bedfordshire Businesswoman of the Year, Teresa Brooks and Floral Designers Amie Bone and Clare Allen of Skipps.
Entries are open from 4th May 2016 to September 2016, with public voting closing in October 2015. After judging is completed the Gala presentation event will take place on 30th November 2016 at our venue sponsor the splendid Knebworth House, Herts. This year we have introduced nominations so if you are a couple and want to have one of your favorite suppliers recognized ‘Nominate’ them now!
The Awards were founded by Tracy Butterfield, Wedding Coordinator at Shuttleworth, Beds and Director of Appleby Events. A champion of the hard working members of the industry, she reveals her motivation for the event; “After years of working in the industry alongside some amazing individuals, I decided it was time that people were recognised and rewarded where they matter most; in their own county.” Tracy also states her pride in the people and organisations involved; “It’s a complete honour to have such truly outstanding sponsors and judges on board!”
“Last years awards were more than I could have expected, the Gala event in February was an incredible evening. Huge thanks to all the sponsors Concept Event Solutions and Wedding Exhibitions UK for their sponsorship involvement and to Hannah Lack for her admin and organisational skills.
For 2016 we are very excited to have new sponsors Affinity Magazine, Knebworth House and new judges Teresa Brooks, Clare Allen and Amie Bone on board. Category sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses, interested? See the website.”
The Four Counties Wedding Awards also raise awareness and funds for the charity The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation, who organise weddings for terminally ill couples. “We are so very proud to have raised funds and so many of the suppliers who attending the Gala have now become supporters of the charity. Networking that makes a real difference”
