Bedford PR and marketing consultant announced as finalist in inspiration competition for Bedfordshire business women

A marketing and PR consultant who lives and works in Bedfordshire has been named as one of four finalists in The Inspire Initiative, a competition created by coach and mentor Elizabeth Toogood to win two years’ free mentoring.

Lindsay Ephgrave is Director of Announce PR, a Bedford company providing a range of marketing and PR services, and is a finalist in The Inspire Initiative along with three other women including Anne Harnan, Elly Hudson and Nisha Vyas-Myall. The final awards event will be held on 19 July at The Higgins Museum when the four finalists will find out who has won the prize worth £5,000.

The Inspire Initiative was prompted by The Higgins Museum’s exhibition ‘Celebrating the Women of Bedfordshire’, created this year to commemorate 100 years of votes for women. Elizabeth
Toogood, one of the county’s most experienced coaches and creator of The Inspire Initiative, is featured in the exhibition along with two of the competition’s judges: Bridget Harris and Emma Garrett.

Commenting on being named a finalist in The Inspire Initiative, Lindsay Ephgrave said: “As soon as I heard about the competition I knew I wanted to enter as the opportunity to win mentoring for two years with Elizabeth Toogood was not to be missed. I have run my consultancy for almost 10 years, whilst raising my two children, and I am at the point now where I am actively seeking to grow my business.

“It is a real honour to have been named a finalist amongst the three other amazing women who have been put through to the final and I am really looking forward to meeting them at the awards event and being a part of what is sure to be a hugely inspirational and meaningful evening.

“I would like to congratulate all the finalists and those who entered and wish them good luck for the final.”

The competition invited women living or working in Bedfordshire to submit a video, blog or powerpoint presentation explaining who inspires them and why. As well as the judges’ award to win two years’ free mentoring, every entrant is automatically entered into a prize draw to win one year of free mentoring, with both prizes to be presented by Helen Nellis, Lord Lieutenant of
Bedfordshire and executive coach, at the final on 19 July.
